ABOUT The New Presence
from the publisher
Following the fall of the Iron Curtain in 1989, there arose a need for non - Czech language readers to read what Czechs and Central Europeans were writing. The New Presence was launched in the 90’s as a direct English language translation of Přítomnost magazine.
Over the years, internet publications arose to saturate the reader market. As a result, The New Presence now features articles from several sources. The articles are selected based on events and topics that we feel are the most important to the region. Though some of the articles are direct translations from the Czech Přítomnost, most of the articles come from English-language authors of our affiliated publications or directly from the authors themselves.
We encourage authors interested in publishing quality thought-provoking articles to contact us at the following contact: firstname.lastname@example.org
